Pretty Money!

With a map of the Netherlands with sunflowers and bees, 50 gulden 1982 this is a sexy little thing. It looks a little too pretty for it's purpose. These images make them look even better but as we compare we can see many things that make them sexy, or at least modern or traditional. Some things are a bit random but the Netherlands piece has a wonderful use of a grid and bright happy colors. I am not saying the US 50 dollar is gloomy and depressing, which shows our state of economy now but it is a bit more traditional looking with the fancy swirls everywhere. I don't really understand the 4 different 50s but the sunflower dollar has one sexy size. I guess if it were beautiful then people may not want spend it? I wouldn't.

Animals are adapting to the human environments

Who knew crows were so intelligent? Watch this video, it's kind of interesting. Will this knowledge be good to use animals to clean up after our mess? I think that's like child labor. But one point this video comes across that is worth knowing is how animals are adapting to our man made environments and how we are killing off natural environment based animals for those that can work with ours.

Why some sororities are worth it

I joined Theta Phi Alpha freshman year at Pratt University in Brooklyn NY and I would have to say I have never been more productive in my life before. With a required minimum GPA and a determined spirit I have been able to do so much in so little time. With countless philanthropies including NYC Revlon Run Walk and MS walk, New York Cares and doing services to the school we try our best to become productive in school and in our personal lives dealing with time management and our own individual personalities that make up our chapter. We not only have so much fun together but we also learn how to have productive business meetings as friends, learning how to sit down and not get carried away with laughter, sometimes. My college experience would not be the same without them, and what I am trying to really say is that sororities are not about those red plastic cups for my chapter, it's all about being determined and productive individuals and having a close family relationship so no matter what there is always someone to turn to, even if they are a freshman or have graduated five years ago. Loyalty, friendship, justice, faith, truth, value, "Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring. "

Revlon Run walk

This is my second time going, last year I just donated but the year before was my first time walking. It is Saturday May 2nd in the AM. My Great Grandmother had brain cancer and my Aunt Marcy had ovarian cancer, I will be walking for them. Join me! Go do it!

Altruism and reality love shows?!?

These highly sassy and risky shows have really played a large role in the media today depicting a struggle of fame and a struggle to be the best and win. But reading through many things about human evolution I have found some quite interesting connections to Darwin's The Descent of Man. What makes For the Love of Ray, and Top Model Work in todays society is the constant attention to survival of the fittest. How much more can I look like a model to win, or what do I need to to do let Ray know that the other girl has been in another reality tv show to make her fall on her face and lose. But there are in this case all girls who have come together to knock out those who seem less fit and make their own teams for their own benefit. Same as in Top Model, girls will find ways to eliminate others from a group to benefit not only herself but her recently made friend just so they have a better chance to succeed. If you ask me this totally looks like altruism right smack down inside America's infamous reality tv shows.

What are Iggaaks/Slanties???

Slanties or Iggaaks are the newest fashion coming? Based off of ancient Inuit eyewear these items are handcrafted out of wood grain, if you take care of it it can last 800 years!!! Umm I think my grandmother will love them, she is blind anyways so she will think they are regular glasses anywho. I personally would never wear them, not just because of the racists meaning behind it, but because I feel I may get a splinter. I know Kanye's glasses and everyones favorite the visor used in Star Trek have taken off successfully and you can buy a pair of Kanyes right in Soho for a few dollars or so and the visor in some halloween online store, but these seem to have even more protection from the sun and even more limited sight for the users to focus on only a few things. Runway models may have to test them out to actually see if they are functional to use on the highway let alone on the runway.
